Why does my car sit this way?

I decided to measure my car at all 4 wheels from the ground up to the fender. The passenger side of the car measure 28-1/8 inches at both wheels. The driver side measured 27.5 at the rear and a little less in the front. How come? The car has 168,000 miles...is that why?

How can it be fixed? Suspension problem? Is it doomed to stay this way? I just don't like for my car to look lop-sided.

Torque. I suspect that 160k of an L98's torque has twisted your car. I have no idea if it can be fixed. My fathers 71 Boss Mustang has the same problem.

It could be a number of things, I noticed when I pulled my springs out of my formula that if you do not get them exactly in right then it would be lopsided. The reason for this is since you have Coil springs When they made the suspension there are indentations to where the ends of the coils are to go, if you twist the spring 180° then I would imagine it could change the ride height by 1/2" or more.

160 k of uneven weight in the car could do it to, try the shocks first then check the springs.

Man, I have changed every thing on my car, yet it is still that way too. I was told it was the power of my awesome 305 . I have not put on my SFC's yet, but I quess it will still be lopsided.

My car sat a little off in the front but was fine all the way around besides that. I got around to checking the pressure (even though all the tires looked to be proper pressure). My driver's side front was running right above 10psi

I reinflated all 4 after checking pressure and the car is perfectly even (even with the l98, my lead foot, and 130,000 miles.)

If it was torque...wouldn't the passenger side be lower? My driver side is lower.

New rear shocks...

Whoever had the car before me could have weighed a ton, but will never know.

I just figured if the unibody, or anything else was twisted from torque, the other side would be lower. I was considering rebuilding the suspension...and was hoping this would help my cars overall stance. But if the frame, or car isn't worth the effort, I won't bother.

I tend to agree that if it was torque, the passenger side would be lower.

Yeah, mine is the passenger side. So I guess that is what happened to mine.
