interior lights
The interior lights on my 94 only turn on when i open the passenger door and not the driver side door. Whats up with that? All i can think if the wire is not on or something.

The door PIN switch (little button switch on the hinge pillar the door shuts against) probably isn't grounding properly.

Yeah, Replace the door pin switch. If your alarm is wired to go off when a door is opened this is probably not working on that door either because those are wired to the door pin switch. Cost about $10.. at GM dealer.

Has anyone put "theater" lighting in their car? For instance, when you close the door, the light gradually fades away, instead of instantly shutting off? I am wondering how it can be done. It would be a nice finishing touch.

I had the exact problem but with the passenger side. One day when the laziness bug went away I decided to figure out what was wrong. The wire that connects to the switch was cut. So I just spliced it back together. Worked. On the passenger side there is one wire connecting to the switch. On the driver side there is two wires connecting to the switch. The white wire is the one you want to follow to look for breaks. If you can't see one then with pin pushed in hook a multimeter to the white wire and to a ground on the car and check the voltage. If the multi doesn't have a reading on it then you need to look closer for a break. If it does the replace the switch.
EDIT: Oops, just noticed you have a 94. Your wire colors might be different.
