I need to replace the cracked windshield in my IROC, and I am going through a junkyard. I assume that a Firebird windshield would fit just fine, but I'd like to doublecheck that. Thanks

Yes.

However, a brand new windshield is only about $150 installed. It doesn't make good sense to fiddle around with one that's already got 150,000 miles of sandblasting on it, risk breaking it, have to buy the locking strip anyway, etc. etc. just for that little money, unless you're really desperate.

You may heve heard prices of like $450; that's the special "insurance price". I've had to have mine replaced 3 times so far over the life of the car, it's been less than $150 every time. And let me tell you - it sure is easier driving at night with a piece of glass that isn't full of pits and scratches, and doesn't have windshield wiper carving all around it, etc.

That's a good price. There's a place that comes to your house to replace it-they charge $200--extra $50 for convience I guess.
