Car: 86' Z28
Engine: 355
Transmission: T-56
87-90, and it would be an IROC. that is, assuming its all original.

Eric

EDIT: it also could have been an older model with the Recaro interior, and someone just swapped out the spoilers.

Its kinda hard to guess without seeing it.

The only year of Z/28 that had the brake light in the spoiler was '87. However the Camaro lettered interior was only offered in '84-'85 (maybe '83 too, I wouldn't know). So... This car has had some parts changed, hard to say which. If you could tell us the color it might help if it is a limited year color.

Car: 89 IROC-Z
Engine: LB9
Transmission: 700-R4
My 1989 Iroc has the brake light in the spoiler and the "camaro" on the seats. Did they even make a Z28 that wasn't an Iroc in 87? Mine may have had parts switched, but unless someone managed to change the engine stamping and VIN tag it's definitely an Iroc.

OOps didn's see the part about lettering on the door panels - I DONT have that, but hey it sounds cooler than stock anyway.

From his description above I'm pretty certain he means the seats and door panels in the pics below. While yours has a small "Camaro" on the seat, your door panels don't. The IROC was an option above the Z-28 from 85-87. From 88-90 the IROC was its own model, with the regular Z-28 disappearing until '91.

Pics of the 84-85 pattern from a current ebay auction:

YA THATS WHAT THEY LOOKED LIKE BUT THEY WENT THAT DULL OF COLORS, MORE LIKE BRITE REDS, ORANGES AND YELLOW, THEY MIGHT BE CUSTOM. AND THE DOOR PANALS WERE IDENTICAL TO THE SEATS.

That is the tan w/ brown interior pictured. It was also available in black w/grey; red w/orange; and yellow w/ black. I am going from memory, so I may be off a little on the colors available, and someone can correct me.
