Smooth firewall on a third-gen?
Does anybody know how you would go about smoothing a firewall on a third-gen Camaro, I already have the firewall cutout but due to the weird angles I can't seem to find a way to make it flat all the way across. Any ideas or pictures? Thanks for any info.

its almost impossible, i have a friend that was doing something similar in his 88 IROC he just built his 406 carbed motor, and he was going to go with smoothed firewall but after deciding he couldnt he went with the delete AC and smoothed all the other holes in the engine bay, it looks really nice, but still isnt near being done.

91z28proj Smoothing a firewall on a third-gen Camaro,
In Australia this is done alot when converting LHD to RHD. The wall is cut-out so as to swap brakes, A/C etc, over. Whilst I did not have this done to my T/A as others and myself believe it weakens the cross bracing having a flat panel that can flex in and out compared to one with bumps that is stiffer. It is done though quite well by the converters and accepted by the registration body here. sorry I have no pics at this time but if I see any I will post for you.
