Back on the subject I think that kit is bad*** except the price. I dont think I could raise $2000+ just to spend it on a kit besides the money it would take to put it on.

Put a cowl hood and a different spoiler and that kit kicks a$$. I've thought about getting it myself. Has a similar color scheme mine used to have.
And btw, I've seen Megadeth twice.

think its ugly around the rear of the kit and dont like the hood but i would be very good if you were going to get wider tires so they are all tucked in under the finders

ok, rear louvers gotta go, doors need help, different hood, needs grid tail-lights, would look better with a stock camaro spoiler, needs a Z-28 bowtie grille......other-wise i actually think it is kinda cool-lookin
like a nice Viper Blue with twin white stripes paint job would look great on that car i think..............
a 1982 camaro for sale in my neck of the woods had that body kit. It was painted a pretty poor purple. The most ironic thing was that my sister said she'd like that car and would want to buy it as her first car and she is an import lover, hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

how much prep was required for that hood, cuz i am getting the same one, once i sell a drumset?????

I do not like that particular wide body style but I do not think its rice by any means. I have seen a old 78 vette with a wide body kit that the rear edges were open to the wheel wells(kinda like the Viper), so the air could get out of the well better. That looked bad a$$.

the only reason i put rice is cuz all the ricers have body kits
but its true that that one aint really rice
its kinda like an 80's trashy kinda one, but i think it would look cool with the changes i said above

I'm glad most of you people don't work in the court system,, talk about prejudice.
You want *******,, here you go. That's my car sitting at my house,,, see all the trailers around in the court (dear god is that rice in the background)? Yes, my hood is blue & the car is spraybombed grey & there is still parts primered on it. It's rice too because it wastefully has 3½" tips & a flowmaster on my poor little "boat anchor" LG4 305 (by theory of, big exhaust on a crappy small motor=rice)

eventually i'm going to do this kit. for the hood, i'm gonna go with the dual ram air hood at http://usbody.com. for spoiler i'll either get the 91-92 z28 raised spoiler, or get an aftermarket wing like it. the louvers are definately NOT going on my car, they are hideous. i have tail light blackouts, so it doesn't matter if i switch to the grid tail lights. sa far as the z28 bowtie grill, from what i've been told, the 85-92 bowtie/camaro grills won't fit the 82-84 camaros. but that's not to say i won't try to custom fit one in there. only thing left is the rims. i have a set of 88-90 iroc rims, but i'll probably get some wider rims/tires.

Not everything is rice. You could do several things to that kit. But isn't funny how that kit was used on series 2 Iroc racers when Iroc first started?. They used it to get the extra 3-4 inches to run 14-16 inch wide rims all the way around.
Now it the kit was the same width behind the wheel wells to the door opeing than was open to the wheel it would look kick A$$, the same for the rear have it open to the end of the rear quarter... Or is that too rice for ya?...
But I was looking at that kit for quite a while, I just found to much 'glass layups to be useful for me. I would rather make it by hand. I like a lot of the aspects of the Evolutionize kit(the one that makes it more like the Ferarri F-40...) I like the rear air scoops and the front clip. And I love the interior of it too.... But not quite worth the 8k...

Some of us need to get our stories straight.
a ******* vehicle defines a vehicle that is beaten up, with rust, mismatching body panels, primer on body panels, raised in the back etc.
rice is a vehicle made to look like a race car, but isn't. which means sponsership stickers, large wings, extremely large exhausxt tips, etc.
this body kit has none these...
so next time you see something you don't like, simply say "I don't like that" and spare us the immature name calling and stereotype labeling. the term "rice" is SO played out now. everything is rice nowadays

If you do up the wide body kit on the car tastefully it actually looks pretty damn sweet.
A guy that briefly went to my highschool had a widebody kit, tastefully done without a gawdy hood, crappy headlight covers etc and it looked great. I'm not paying that kind of money for a body mod though...
There's a pic of another wide body kit from another company somewhere online (don't remember where) and it looks equally horrid since they went overboard and made the thing look tacky.

Jer82Z28, I was about to say the exact same thing after I saw rice and ******* describing the same thing...
Hey deadbird, those wheels really do look great on your car. I honestly didn't even notice the different color panels on your car until after I read your comments underneith it. With a bit of paint, and maybe a bit of lowering, that will be a very smooth looking car.

Just thought I'd share some info and photo's:
These pictures are from the IROC race series(scanned from the Spring 2000 issue of "Camaro Performers" magazine).
As you can see these cars do not use the body kit mentioned above. In fact, the bodies were made by Diversified Glass Products of Pontiac Michigan. I have been trying to get a hold of anyone associated with Diversified(who have been out of business for a few years) in regards to the location and availability(are they for sale?) of the molds used to produce these bodies. Some promising leads materialized, but I was ultimately unsuccessfull. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be much obliged.
As for the ASCD kit: it is almost a carbon copy of the kit Motion Performance(Baldwin, NY) introduced in 1985(wouldn't be surprised if ASCD pulled a plug from an installed Motion kit).

I like the flared fenders, those are a little extreme, but cool. I think the hood and louvers suck, but other than that I like it. This company aggressive@belltech.net offers a kit with bolt on front fenders, mold on rears, and rocker panels for $900. The kits flares the front and rears by about 3inches. It looks bad *** !

I like that body kit I think it would look a bit better if it had hood lovers like the daytona turbo hood. I also think it would look better in black because it would be a little more low key.
