Hmm, why would you want to do that, sell a car with 170,000 miles on it as a car with 70,000 miles on it?

High mileage vehicles become Exempt.....mainly because it's assumed their engines are changed. I believe the mileage also becomes exempt if you legally change your engine (go through all the paperwork to inform the DOT of the swap)

Here in PA any vehicle 10 years or older is milage exempt and will show that on your title. My 87 LB9 T/A 5spd only has 49K on it but the title still reads milage exempt.Boy does that **** me off.
