Just wondering. My paint is fading on the rear hatches on BOTH my cars in the same spot, right in front of the spoilers.

There was a tech bulletine and silent recall years ago. I had the dealership repaint mine due to delamination, but that was 7 years ago. I don't think they will do anything anymore. The newest cars are now 10 years old, way past warrenty period.

You would be hard pressed to get someone to honor a recall on that age of car. Although many years of the 3rd-gen cars had bad paint, even a "fair" paint job may have fade in that time frame.
And if it were a "safety" recall they might honor it if you weren't the original owner but since it's not a safety issue they probably wouldn't make it right for the original owner OR a subsequent owner.
BUT......hey, it's worth a try.

Thanks for the info. I probably won't get anywhere with the dealer, but I might just go to see what they have to say about it. Who knows?
