Cars and Concepts T-tops
I have these tops on my 1991 Z-28 I was woundering if these came from the factory as it is an L98 car and its not saposed to happen. i know this is a dumb question because its an aftermarket company but is it one of those optoins that GM didn't do? I heard that C&C also put extra braceing in the tops for the t-tops making them better than the GM done ones in the late 80's is this true?

nope probably who ever bought the car wanted t-tops and the dealer had them put in ,, there should be a sticker on the drivers door stating when the car was modified . and as for them being better then factory , I cant say they have better bracing , I had them in my 83 TA , they where nice , a bit smaller then the factory tops and they used a nice gutter type system the only place they leaked was where they met the windows on the door from the weather stripping drying out.

I have these on my 88 and the tops themselves are nice BUT,
the company went out of buisiness supposedly because someone flew out their tops when they got in an accident and sued.
and NO they do not have any bracing and certainly LESS than the factory t tp cars.
I found this out the hard way when I had to drive 40 miles to school and I could feel the car bowing over large bumps in the road.
I got SSM SFC's and that made the flex non existant but the tops have been nothing if not a pain in the a**.
lately the pass side latch does not want to stay up and everyone that gets in that side hits their head on it and I have to say "yea Im gonna fix that soon"
oh well, Ive ranted long enough.
