Speedo needle bouncing @ low speeds
I'm sure I am not the only one w/ this problem. Does anyone know how to fix this bouncing needle @ low speeds problem? I had the speedometer repaired recently and reinstalled it? Could the speedo-cable not be attached all the way? Do I need to send the speedo back for repairs? Help!!

Sorry for me being stupid...how do I lube the cable? Take the cluster out and squirt some WD-40 into the end of the cable that attaches to the speedo? I know it has to be harder than that? HELP!!!!!!

Pull the cluster out, pull the cable all the way out of its sleeve, put some speedo cable lube in the palm of your hand and feed the lower 2/3 of the cable back into the sleeve through the lube in your hand.

I had the same prob with my speedo, it kept going up and down and eventually stopped working. So it was taken completly off from underneath and found out that it had twisted at the end. So i went to a local wrecker and got a new generic gm cable (about the same size) installed it, and haven't had a problem since. Check the local wreckers and find a different one, should work okay, at least it did for me. Just thought I'd let you know from my experience.
