Hows this interior?

I saw this auction on ebay. I think it looks pretty sweet for a third gen interior, do you think 1000 bucks is a tad too much thuogh. I know it comes with the seats. If I was going to ask an interior place to do the same, how much should I expect to pay. Btw the interior comes with seat, panels, headliner and t-top bags http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...042993&r=0&t=0

The execution is good, but I couldn't see paying $1k for that.

You can get 4th gen leather for 300-400 for a full set and redo the doors/carpet/headliner/plastic for about another 500 if your handy enough to tackle it yourself.

Just my $.02

That's just nasty! Plus it is vinyl. That guy must be crazy! Yeah, it would be a little cheaper and better to get a set of 4th gen leather. You saw that the bid was closed and only had one bid. Not very pretty.

Well I kind of like the vinyl. Its cheaper then leather. I like the design but not the colors. I have absolutely no interior so my possibilities are endless. I am thinking about getting grey covers from thirdgenresource. They wont send me a pic. Its 385 for the covers and 120 for the door panels.

interesting. It's kind of a throwback to the 1st and 2nd gen seats. I think they look out of place in our cars though. I prefer the 3rd and 4th gen buckets to those anyday.

That might look decent in a 57 Chevy, but not a thirdgen f-body.

Actually if you look at it closely, it's just 3rd gen seats without the head rest inserted. You can see the slot for the head rest.

I still think 4th gen leather is more comfortable and cheaper than getting the 3rd gen seats recovered. Unless you are really hard up on keeping your 3rd gen interior stock. But then why would you want the look of those to begin with.

Oh well

Roo, your seats look a **** of a lot better. The black wraping around gives the Recaros a modern look, whereas those other ones look like something you could get down in Tijuana back in the 50's.

They seem out of place in a thirdgen, I agree a '57 chevy or something of that nature.

Don't order that stuff from thirdgenresource. They no longer sell the door panels. I ordered the door panels at $120 which is a pretty good price and at the same time got a couple power window switches. They e-mailed me and said they no longer sell the door panels but shipped the switches anyways and billed my credit card. I got ripped off for the switches big time it ended up costing me with shipping and duty and everything $80 canadian and I called a gm dealership here and I can get them for $36 for the two here!! On top of that they sent me two different looking power window switches one black and one grey so I had to send it back to them. Read the vendor review section for more info

I have tried to deal with thridgenresources on several occasions and always ended up not buying anything from them. Takes 3 days to get replies to part requests and then always get told that they don't have that part even when it's listed on the web site. Dunno.

I'll vouch for TACreations though as I've dealt with them many times and am always happy.

thought id bring this back for two reasons. #1 i have a frind i want to show this to cuz he is planning on getting a 55-56 belair. #2 i though, damn if that car had hidden black light and the exterior was white with a black SS or Big Block hood, it would be sweet! but then it could still suck, so im not sure.
