Anyone know how to fix vertical slop in doors?
I replaced the hinge pin on my driver's side door but that didn't help at all. The door will move about an inch upward if you lift it, while the passenger side won't. Does anyone know a good fix for this? Do I need to tear the hinge assembly down further and use the bushings that came with the pin somewhere? Also, the local parts store doesn't rent out the tool needed to replace the hinge spring - any ideas on how to get that back in there? Thanks very much in advance.

So you basically replaced the hinge pin with a bolt right? What is the "special nut" that you used? I'm assuming you drilled that hole out to 1/2" since you used a 1/2 inch bolt...I just might give it a try.
