steering column compatability
My steering wheel is realy loose at the tilt, and I have read the tech article on tighting the bolts down in the guts of the column, but I am not sure if I want to tackle this. Would it be easier to just put a new colmn in? If so I can get one out of an '84 Camaro (I have an '86 T/A) will it fit and look OK? Let me know I want to do something about it this weekend.

86 T/A 305 4BBL NO AC,'83 center console (because I like the look), '83 L69 being rebuilt now, and new beige intreior going in soon

I would assume that there are absolutely no differences. The column we put in my Camaro after someone cracked it a couple of years ago came out of an undisclosed GM vehicle, but definately not an F-body (it had a chrome turn signal/wiper/cruise lever) and I don't even know what year.
My point is that GM columns are interchangable. I am currently planning on putting a late model GM column into my '67 442, and even that is a direct bolt-in (though it requires some rewiring).
