notchback / targa rear hatch, where to find?
my trans am was broken into a few weeks ago and my entire rear hatch is to replaced....body shop has yet to find a suitable replacement hatch and i was considering the targa / notchback hatch. What different companies sell the hatches and do any of them have webpages?

just so you know...im pretty sure there is no company out there that makes one exactly like that...but if you got one from the people posted above...im sure you could fiberglass one to make it look like that...or you could have someone do it...

Yes, I happen to know too much about sources for our cars, it is a sickness that I am cursed with. That hatch can be had from a place called
The Affordable Company
PO BOX 1205

Phone 508-373-7389 Mon - Thu
They sell Ferrari 308GTSI conversion kits for 82-92 firebird/camaro platforms.
For $5 they will send you photos of all their conversions.
I would check 'em out first before sending money for a hatch because well..they're a kit company and kit companies are notorious for disappearing with customer's money.
Here is side picture of the whole conversion. The whole kit is 4000 including all panels and fog and tail lights w/wiring kits, mirrors, door handles, front grill, and hatch grill. Body panels alone=$2800.
More info than you needed, but I collect all this research, so I might as well share it.

Nightcruiser, do you have a link for Motion? I like that hood on the top right. No more air cleaner problems with that one. Any info would be great. Thanks.

82 Trans Am,
No they don't have a website, but they are very legit. They advertise in the backs of most of the car magazines. Their catalog is worth the $5. They are actually famous for building the limited production Baldwin-Motion Camaros and Corvettes of the late 60's and early 70's. Today the Baldwin-Motion cars are considered as valuable as the Yenkos and just as rare.
