Re: Fiberglass Fender Interest

I have enough suspension books of my own that ALL say drop spindles don't mess with geometry and that's where I'm leaving it. Either way, we should just get back to the original subject of the thread, which I feel now is a little more about composite body parts in general as opposed to just fenders.

Re: Fiberglass Fender Interest

Doesn't change at all.. The centerline of the tire would have to move in or out for it to change positively or negatively, the spindles don't affect this.

aluminum accel TPI intake manifold, AS&M runners, ported plenum
9th injector and piping removed
mini starter
window washer pump/hose/bottle removed
MOMO racing steering wheel
UMI tubular a-arms
LS1 front brakes
removed spare+jack (and placed lighter optima red top in rear)
aluminum 3" driveshaft
aluminum rear drums
Delphi 670 lightweight steering box
Antenna delete
And then I have added tons of stuff like SFC, STB, welded on brackets, etc.. And all suspension is all tubular (except k-member) which I think is lighter but I'm not sure..

What I have left to do:
aluminum front crash bar (have just waiting to install)
aluminum heads (when 383 engine swap goes in)
Lexan ttops
4th gen seats with 3rd gen sliders (weight reduction if non power and non leather)
Tubular k-member
Aluminum hubs
dropped spindles
And I lost 20 pounds since November lol
I'm surprised you haven't pulled the interior and removed the insulation padding from under the carpet and around the back panels.

It has full interior.. I'm actually going to add hushmat (already purchased) all along the interior under the carpet and panels, but I will offset this with lighter weight seats and lighter weight carpet without the backing (the hushmat should add a good bit of weight down low and in the center of the car so it's not too too bad, and hopefully lighter seats and carpet will offset the added weight)

The car is a street car, that is very capable on the track, that's what I wanted, ofcourse that costs money and is difficult to find that middle point.
