Rebuilding my original '88 Camaro - Major Body, Frame, Floor work
Hi guys,
I mainly post in the LSX swap section as that is what i am mostly focused on, but thought this might be of interest as a reference in the body forum...
i found my original 1988 Camaro after a long search this fall and am in the process of restoring it... it will be getting an LSX so the main thread is in that section, but right now it is getting some major body work
The rear subframe, etc is so rusted out i am cutting the car in two and replacing the rear with a clean donor car... as you can imagine the floor needs replaced as well... anyways thought this might be of some benefit to others as i try and take a lot of pics... if you are interested in seeing the work, click on the link to the LSX forum post below
Thanks

well the transformation of the body is pretty much done... it has been a ~2 yr journey to get this far, but it was well worth it
details are in the link above as i am posting in the LS engine swap area, but here are a couple of pics for this section from how i originally got it to how the body looks now complete today in atomic orange and ready for reassembly
bottom line is if you want to save it, you can do it!
