cleaning head liner

so whats the best way to clean my headliner and the cloth speaker covers. my chiltons book says to you the foam from a carpet cleaner. does anyone have any ideas and know how to do it? i have a tan interior and its all mint and clean, just the headliner and stuff is a bit dirty

As gay as the infomercials are,,, Oxi Clean is a helluva cleaner for what you are asking. Just spray it on (in a dilluted solution) and wipe off with a clean towel. The stuff works great,,, had I not used it myself,,, I wouldn't say anything about it. It just might be the Zaino of cloth cleaners IMO.

If it's your original headliner, I wouldn't try anything to clean it, nor would I even look at it funny or it's going to start falling down...

You could try, but you might end up recovering it sooner than expected.

hehehe, thats funny cause thats exactly what i have been thinking and am afraid of doing. i don't even want to rub it the wrong way cause i have seen some REAL bad headliners in our cars. but yea, its the original, and its in like new shape, you can just see where its slight grey in some spots cause of the t-tops and dirt....dunno if i will fooling with it, but when it comes to looks i am a prefectionist....oh well....i'm satsified for now. hate to ruin a good thing, but if anyone else has ideas please throw em out there....lata
