shaved door handles
what actually is done when you shave the door handles and how would you go about opening the door and locking it from the outside, also how much should this cost at a body shop.

You cut the handle area off the door, leaving a hole. You weld a piece of sheetmetal over the spot to make it flat, grind down the welds, then paint the area.
You use electric solenoids to "pull" the door handle mechanism. The solenoids go inside the door frame. If the door has trouble moving away from the car, you buy "door poppers"- spring loaded plungers that push the door open after the solenoids unlock them.
A remote (like an alarm's remote) is used to trigger the solenoids. For "backup", you can also hide key-switches, like those of a house burglar alarm's, somewhere on the car.
Be aware of this- I heard that Englishtown's Raceway Park won't let someone race if they have shaved door handles. I don't know if that's true or not, but it might be something to keep in mind...
