Strut Tower Rust

Hey guys, I really need your opinions on this issue I'm having. There is a rust hole near the strut tower on the drivers side of my car. I need some opinions as to what I should do with this. Such as bringing it to a body shop or if its even worth saving. The link I've provided has pictures of the rust hole. Thanks in advance

Re: Strut Tower Rust

that spot is fixable . i would be concerned if there are other areas like it . rust/corrosion is like cancer . needs to be removed or properly treated . get car on a lift and inspect ENTIRE under body . i expect you might find more (hope you do not) . good luck .

Re: Strut Tower Rust

I have had a look under the car and there is rust in certain places but with a good amount of work, most of it can be repaired. But now I'm left with two questions. 1) how much do you think it would cost to have a body shop patch that? 2) I have surface rust along the upper portion of the wheel well, would I be able to clean it up and coat it with rust bullet

too many unknown variables , a body shop in downtown L.A. , boston , N.Y.C. , seattle ??? backwoods ms. (where i live) or any other place off the beaten track . just take it to the shop you deal with and get an estimate , be prepared to pay 25-50% over estimate . good luck .

Re: Strut Tower Rust

I guess I'll just shop around and see what happens. Thanks for the help, when I get the work done I'll be sure to post some pics.

Re: Strut Tower Rust

it can be fixed. I would wire wheel all the crap outta the wheel wells and inspect the whole thing.
