I really want those damn gauges but they don't have on for Firebirds that I can find the summit cataloge only has camaro ones (different dash). If you find ones for a Bird let me know.

They also give you a choice in color.

LI Tommy: Intellitronix makes a universal kit. It's basically the circuit board broken up into the different gauges, plus all the senders. They make them for hot rodders who custom build their dashes. For example, I had planned on putting those into a 23 Ford shortbed I will eventually build.
It's not in their catalog regularly, but I know for sure they stock them, because it was in the "new products" section a couple issues back. And it's not much more than the regular replacement dash for Camaros.
Call Summit up and ask a rep. about the "universal digital dash" or something like that.

Ok, does that dash dim with the dimmer switch? I like the looks, but that would get a little too bright when you are just driving along a highway at night.

Since we're on the topic of colored lights,, did firebirds have a different color besides that ugly orange (amber) for the A/C controls ? (like the blue/green color)
(not certain but I don't think the A/C control has the little bulb condoms like the gauge lights do to give color,, anyone ?)

redcamaro83: dunno, but I'll check on it tomorrow. Maybe I can swing a green one instead.. My head unit can switch between red and green, so I'm okay either way.
I sort of preferred red, though, because it doesn't leave a splotch on your retina when you look up from them at night.

Yo' JZA, what was involved in putting in the new guages. my car is old and doesn't have the temp sensors or the tach.
