Piece of cake to install. Just have it made to use a standard adapter kit, since custom building the splined hole would be costly and probably not worth the effort.

I installed a Grant Challenger wheel in my 87Z and will soon in my old IROC for/with my brother. It's pretty easy.

Only issue I ran into was the horn switch stuff didn't line up w/ the install kit. I didn't see an easy way to get it to work. My horn didn't work originally anyway and I don't need it so I just eliminated it. Might not be an option for you, I understand some people do know how to get it to work w/ the Grant kits, perhaps they'll respond...

Pookey the detachable steering wheel is available from GRANT. part # 2001

Summit part number GRT-2001

Hooking88formula, we keep running into each other. You should check ebay out man. Type in grant steering wheels. Lots of great wheels. You will love the wheel. Try to get 13" to 13.5". Makes driving a hell of a lot easier. I didn't see the difference until I drove a GTA with one.

I got a Grant GT steering wheel from PEP boys. You will also need to buy an adapter kit, which can be found on the same shelf. Adapter kits are made specifically for your model. I also needed a steering wheel puller. The horn will still function (as long as it did before you started).

I was really happy with the final product after the installation, and I'd guess it took me about 45 - 60 minutes to do.

As a side issue, the "club" will fit over the new steering wheel, even though the new wheel will be appreciably smaller in diameter.
