Convertable and Hardtop interior Differences?
I'm going to see a 88 Iroc Convertable tommorow with a perfect body but dosn't have an interior. The seller is willing to give me an interior out of a 86 Z28 for free because he want's to get rid of his thirdgens to start a new project on an older car. What parts will fit and what won't? I know that the carpet, seats, center console, dash, and steering panel will fit but what about the plastic interior peices? How about the door panels? I'm not sure how much of the interior is missing but I just want to get an idea.

Door trims the same. the panels in the backseat, different. Good luck finding that for cheap or at all.
If the seat belts are missing, they appear to be different, the back ones anyway. Mine have a two piece snap together design I've never seen on any other car. I hope this helps.

Keep the two rear plastic side pieces (with integral armrest) from the coupe and cut off the front leading edge. This "edge" is used on the convertible to retain the front edge of the interior rear quarter panels to the front door jam.

I went and saw it today. He has all the parts except the seats and the carpet. He is letting me take the seats, and anything else that I want from a 86 Z28 Parts car that he has. But there blue and the convertable interior is gray. I figure I'll just get the carpet new from some place. I'm going to have my mechanic come with me to see it tommorow, if he agrees to come because it's about a half hour away.
