Am I the only one that has repainted their hood louvers???
I haven't really seen anyone post about this, but my hood louvers were looking really faded and spotty.
I took em off the car, cleaned em up real nice, and used a real fine grit sandpaper to scuff em up. I then used a flat black, grill and stove spray-paint that I got from WalMart to paint em up. Multiple coats. That stuff is the perfect color/finish for them.
I did that about a year and half ago on my 87Z, and they still look freaking brand new now. Today my Brother and I did the same thing on the 86 IROC's louvers. BIG improvement.
Just thought some people might not have though of doing that, I know both of ours desperately needed it...

This might be a stupid question... But how the heck do you get those louvers off? I couldn't find any screws or anything like that.

On the underside of the hood, beneath the sound/heat insulation junk, there are bolts holding them on.
