You will only be able to get used ones that are probably in the same shape as yours. If you have a little surface rust on yours just sand it, prime it and paint it. Use a good self etching primer and SEM trim black. I just did mine and it came out great.

Re: rear hatch glass trim

Did you remove it, or just masked everything off ? and sprayed it?

Re: rear hatch glass trim

I did it on the car. I masked everything up with masking paper.
They did this on Muscle car a few years ago and I used that as a guide.
Check this video at the 3 minute mark.

Re: rear hatch glass trim

Mine was just dull- no rust, so I sprayed it with Plasitdip. Fast, easy, attractive and temporary of course until I paint the entire car, but for $7 for a can at Lowe's and a roll of tape, who cares?

Re: rear hatch glass trim

I will be painting mine on the car but the ends where they meet are sightly pulled away from the windo edge. What can I use to glue them back in place? Would rear view mirror adhesive work? Or Super Glue? Or try to find a glass and metal epoxy?
Any Ideas?

Re: rear hatch glass trim

I would use urethane windshield adhesive. Don't forget to use the primer first.

Thanks 82 tarecaro. For whatever reason I never thought of that but that obviously should be the best. I hope you can forgive my Homer Simpson moment. lol
