Fender Damage

The other day, I was going to school in my '84 Camaro, when my back end started to slide out from behind me. I did everything I learned in Drivers ed, but the thing just kept sliding around. Finally it came to rest on a guard rail. It didn't really hit it hard or anything, but it left a pretty mean streak starting on my front bumper, and going down the fender a bit. There is a little dent in the fender as well. I am getting my car painted soon probably, and was wondering if it would be ok to just paint over the dent etc.. or to buy a good fender from a junk yard, and put it on before I get the paint. About how much do they cost, and how hard are they to put on? Thanks.

if its not that big a deal, the shop can probably take it out, if you do get a new fender, i think the hardest part is lining it up all straight and whatnot.

I got my fenders new for $150, and they're real easy to take off, installing I'm not too sure about. But all you have are the bolts on the top side, a couple on the bottom and 4 on the front that hold it to the front bumper.
