Rear Hatch
Hi
I have an 89 firebird, which doesn't have the hatch release button inside. I had a quick look at the hatch release and it looks as if it's all wired, just no release button.
Before I spend the money and get a proper release button, I want to connect a switch to see if it all works first. Can anybody tell me the colours of the negative and positive cables ?
I'm in the UK, so I expect getting a genuine hatch release switch will probably be really expensive.
Thanks
Geoff

the wiring you see is for the actuator that pulls the hatch down after you close it. if it doesnt pull it down after shutting, then check your fuses, that particular one seems to go easily.
