Black Seatbelts for 1989 Camaro.

I am looking for the #'s that are printed at the bottom of a pair of black seatbelts on a 1989 camaro. The dealer says I nead this # to get some new ones or to find the part #'s. Can someone type me the #'s or does anyone know a GM part # for new black seat belts? The # should be something like GMXXXXXXXX Please help my tan seat belts look ugly with a grey and black interior.

Sorry brother, you're SOL on black ones, they've been discontinued. You can still get grey ones, but only grey. If that'll work for your interior, good on ya! I got grey ones for my red/black interior and spent a good amount of time trying to get them black - no dice. I have the numbers for an '88 Trans Am, not your Camaro, but if you need them let me know and I'll get them to you. You can get these belts through Dal at VanDevere Pontiac for about $46 each.

Email me if you need more info,

Darth Steve

What is the phone # for VanDevere Pontiac? Does anyone know the part #'s for the grey seat belts, and are they still easy to find? Thanks for all the reply's.

His number is (800) 362-9494 or his email is lockitup@bright.net - make sure you tell him you got his number from the thirdgen internet site so you get his discount. The drivers side number is GM12392910 and the passenger side is GM12392909. Now be aware these are the numbers for the 1988 Trans Am - if they aren't the same as the Camaro you're screwed. It may behoove you to go find a junkyard Camaro the same year as yours and just check the seat belts for the correct numbers - maybe their the same, maybe not. All you have to do is pull the seatbelt out as far as it will go (the bottom part), there is a tag at the bottom that has the GM number on it.

Hope this helps,
Steve
