Crummy fitting Metro weatherstripping, please help. Pics inside
I just purchased and installed the Metro Supersoft weatherstripping kit. Everything seems to fit fine except for one area of the ttop seal. The area in question is at the corner of the windshield frame where the ttop meets the a-pillar. I'm attaching some photos because it's much easier than descirbing the situation. Other than this gap, all else seems to fit well. The tabs line up with the screw holes, the seals fit perfectly into the rails and the which makes me think I've got everything installed properly.
Has anyone run into this issue before?
Is there a product that I can use to fill the void and seal it up?

Have you glued it yet? If not then try pulling the door glass portion of the weatherstrip down a little. You may have to remove the entire portion down the door glass then start at the top reinstalling it to remove that gap. Then just put the rest in. You may have to "pack" it in a little. BTW Nice car

I have the same ones, and their was directions in my order. From what I can remember I think you have to add adhesive to that gap and fill it in as you go.But you have already glued yours to the sides of the wind shield pillar .You may have to peel that section back

Peel it back a little and add weatherstripping adhesive to that area. Apply tape to hold it firm and you should be ok.

I just looked through the GM t top leak manual, and also at the factory installed gaskets on my TTA. What the factory used, was something they referred to as strip caulk. I think it is a product like windshield rope caulk.

It is supposed to be used in the corners to bridge the body gaps, and also to fill in that hole you have.
Here is a link to download the t top manual. It is a good read. I think most t top weatherstrip installs go bad because they aren't sealed right, although there are some crappy seals out there that should be avoided(OER)

I'd suggest putting the ends in first then putting the rest of the window area in. That's what I meant about you may have to pack it in a little. If you didn't get too much glue in there you may be able to gently pull it back out of the track. You may have to remove the entire area at the window to get all of the weatherstrip back in without it bunching or wrinkling up.
