God bless Hawks for making these for us but MAN they are frig'n expensive! Just blew my Bird money on digital gauges, which are far from cheap also. How about free shipping or something instead of a piddily $50 off? He's not giving any breaks on ebay either. I have no choice, I'll have to be down with the sickness on the next go around, my wing literally exploded.

I haven't taken my spoiler off yet, but from what I see in the Hawks picture the third brake light assembly attaches to this unit? Years of direct sunlight has done my OEM spoiler no favors.

No,I paid the $399,but they didn't charge me the boxing fee.I put my car in the body shop today,I needed it now,I couldn't wait any longer!!I not sure if they will count mine in the 10 deal or not.

It came with all the mounting hardware? How does it attach to the car vs. the original wing?

It does come with the mounting hardware and directions,but it doesn't use the usual clips.I'll leave that to the body shop to figure out.

It has groves in the wing where the clips would have been,I guess their to cover the fasteners on the hatch

You can put stainless steel screws in it at those points so you can use the original mounting clips. Those aluminum fasteners it comes with kind of suck. There is a thread over on the TTA board. I will see if I can find it.

I did the very same thing before I finally found the correct clips,I screwed them into the metal ones on the underside of the spoiler.

Well guys i just called hawks and orderd mine.Bad news is they wont have any for two weeks.I thought they had there own shop that makes them.I dont get why they are not ready to ship.if you look on ebay they have four listings for them that say they are avalible?

well guys i got mine today.spolier looks great. but the truck company of aaa copper watch out for them.they drop my spolier off and hawks told me i had to pay them 87.09 for shipping.well the driver hands me a invoice for 233.13.i told him it was wrong so he caled his dispatcher.the dispatcher tells me that if i dont pay it the driver is taking the spoiler back.so i call hawks and it is ther lunch time and no one is there.so i argue with 3 or 4 more people at this truck company.and after an hour i finaly get some one that knows the discount and tells the driver that the 87.09 is all i owe.the driver was very nice about it but the dispatchers were worthless.well i am done venting and happy with my spoiler.

What's a shop gonna charge me for install/paint roughly? Also is it crazy to try n get them to match my stock paint? (great condition but I'm sure a bit off) or go safe, i.e. black?

did a test fit today let me tell you the one i got is almost dead on.i see only very minamal tweakin to do.i am very happy with this spoiler.if the rest are like the one i got you will be very happy wlth it.

That's great!!!mine is still in the B/F shop.They told me it would take about 3 weeks for mine to be done,were on the 3rd week now and their making some progress but I expect it back maybe for another week or so.
Hawks told me it was going to cost $160.00 for shipping,but when the transportation co. called they charged me $133.00.I just paid them over the phone,driver didn't have to wait,just dropped it off.

So are we still at only 6 people? Really? I am sadly surprised at this. It's not like only a small few of our cars are in need of a new wing (as would be the case for a 10 year old car), our cars are 22-30 years old! At this point, the vast majority of cars would need new wings. So either most people are super cheap and don't want to pay for a quality replacement part, or most people don't mind having a split and torn up wing on their car which detracts from an otherwise nice body. Wow. (Statement was meant towards people whose cars run and run well w/out other bigger problems.)

[Begin frustrated rant, you don't have to read it.] To those that are stepping up, thank you. You show much respect for your car and do Third Gens credit. Nobody's car needs to be able to win car shows, but they should at least respect their car enough to make it look decent instead of leaving it looking like it just rolled out of a junk yard after rotting there for 20 years. At least hold on to the wing until you're ready to paint. I understand that fixing old cars isn't cheap, and is therefore a painfully slow process for us poorer folk, but can we at least try to do it right? Junk yard wings aren't going to buy you much time, and the money spent is better put into the purchase of a quality replacement part (especially one with a discount!). Considering that this forum has members all over the US, it is quite sad that only 6 people out of many hundreds (thousands?) are willing to buy a new wing. *facepalm* I wonder how many 1st/2nd gen F-body people would have jumped on a similar deal? Or Mustang people? [/End rant]

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest, since friendly encouragement isn't getting any interest ("come on, we can do it!" etc).... perhaps pointing out the sad part will get people thinking. Or something. Or maybe I just gave in to my frustration... Sorry.

my car is in the shop now, getting a total re-paint. i wanted to order a new spoiler, but hawk's is closed for summer vacation until the 23'rd... doh! i hope they ship quick.

i actually already have a 4th gen style hawks spoiler that's never been installed... but i decided go with with the 3rd gen style instead. if anyone is near dallas and wants to buy the 4th gen style spoiler off me, you'd save on shipping and get it right away.

Some of us did,we started this campaign back in March and could,t get 10 members to commit to the sale,I ques it's hard to come up with extra cash these days.It's really not a big deal,your only saving $50.00,Maybe Hawks should have given a bigger discount on volume purchases because it really didn't interest a lot of people,even the ones that had ordered payed full price anyway.Just out of curiosity,how many ordered them with this sale!!!
