My 1989 camaro IROC Clone Project
Hello third gen enthusiasts. Just a quick recap:
I got this car a while back, just a plain Jane RS with T-Tops, and had big thoughts for it's future. I bought it for my son for his first car, and at the time we bought it, he was about 11. we have done a lot to it, and now he is 15, almost time for him to drive it. We got the car for $1000 from a guy in North jersey, and he had put over $4000 into it in the time he had it. The only problem it had was a crease in the drivers side door. When he totaled his 87' iroc, he put the Australian Borg Warner 9 bolt in it from his iroc with 3.27 gears, and $1000 dollar shocks and struts. The whole undercarriage was de-rusted, and with the car he gave us Brand new flo-tech headers, a new drivers side door, and a bunch of other misc parts to help it. It also had a FULLY custom leather interior with emboss chevy emblems on the door panels. The other problem was the t-tops leaked. It had went from that to this. Now it has a 355 cop car engine with a radical cam, corvette crank, and other parts. It also has a daytona hood, and 16x9 Torq thrust rims for rear, and 16x8 for the front. I am thinking about getting 91-92 third gen ground effects and the z28 highrise spoiler. Later in the build of this project, my son got the idea of turning it into an Iroc clone. Hey its his car, so whatever he he wants it gets, as long he can pay for it. After the 400+ hp engine went in, the factory 700r4 went from too much horsepower and we got a heavy duty MONSTER TRANSMISSION that can withstand 500 hp. It is absolutely amazing. I will keep you updated, and post pictures soon.

Re: My 1989 camaro IROC Clone Project
what you listed as current was last winter, without the motor in, It is currently the pic with the orange hood, grid tail lights, and soon to be torque thrust rims. I will post more pics when the weather improves.
