91 to 86 nose change?

I have a '91 with a pretty beat up bumper cover but maybe a chance to get a good '86 front. Are they interchangeable? Fenders, hood, lights etc. the same? Is it a bolt on thing or are mods required?

from what i have seen and heard is that they will bolt right up but the bottom spoilers are going to be different. 91 and 92 have the indentions in them and the rest dont.

Re: 91 to 86 nose change?

the ground effects, if present, will not interchange. Also keep in mind your 91 does not have turn signals mounted next tot he headlights, the 86 bumper will have cutouts for them. You current turn signals will have to be removed as well as fod lights if you have them. And your headlight bezels may not line up properly either.

the plastic eggcrate impact absorber may be different too.
