Re: my new racecar

Damn I hate camera phones.

Well you got a good project race car. Looks like a lot of stuff is already done. The drop shadow on the flames looks cool. I couldn't do that properly with a black car or I would have.

Re: my new racecar

anything can be done with a wrap lol. its all a wrap on the whole car. the car also has a one piece fiberglass front end and the doors are also fiberglass, its also lexan windows. the fiberglass is hairys fiberglass. the only thing i wish it had was 4-link but the ladder bar setup works fine as the previous owner ran 8.43s. but anytips that could help me on the build would be good thanks

Re: my new racecar

Looks alot better then my drag car which is quickly turning into a drag/autocross/weekend car.
I haven't had a place to tear into mine until recently, go figure now I have a place to tear it down completely now I have issues with my back, and now money. But it will get there.
Like said before looks like you have a great start, keep at it little here and there and you will have a nice car.
Do alot of reading hear and you will learn what does and dosen't work.
With a car like this it's easy, as far as what you need to do. Just remeber you have a popular car (weather it seems like it or not) so someone has done it already.
Keeping that in mind your guess work is done, and if you have a question ask. Someone can answer for you, saving you alot of money on parts. And also time changing your new "upgraded" parts that are going to break and need upgraded again.

Re: my new racecar

Yea it won't be done til next spring as I have to build a motor. I also have to put a rearend together for it. But for 2500 I couldn't pass up a great start to my dream car. I wouldn't own anything but a 3rd gen.
They by far are the most badass cars made. This is my drag car but I have a street car also that is a thirdgen. Gotta have more than one lol.
The rearend I'm gunna build for it is gunna be all chassis engineering parts. It's already back halved for a ladder bar setup and cleared for 14x32s.
So it'll be worth it in the end. 19 and a 9 sec car funded all by myself yea I'll be happy lol

Re: my new racecar

Thanks my goal is to have it done for next season. But we'll see how things go with the motor. Can't decide on what I want lol. Maybe it's the age lol.

But we got pretty close looking cars alky you got a lot of the same things done. You should post pics or send some to me if you get the removable trans tunnel done. I would really like to do it also.

Thanks guys for the posts keep them coming and anything you can think of that would help me would be great thanks

Re: my new racecar

Yea unfortunately but a start to the rest of my life is well worth giving up this car for the time being. I would rather sell it and put money towards my street car as I'm taking that with me.

It's for sale for 3000$ obo more details in the for sale section. Let everyone know please need this gone
