Re: new fender sitting to high
need more info..........loosen all the bolts and push it down maybe? Also pay attention to the bottom bolt that attaches it to the body just rear of the tire. FYI tho......aftermarket parts NEVER fit right with OEM parts. Try and find a used OEM fender. I have spares for each side just in case I need them

Re: new fender sitting to high
Holy shhhh that's off!!!! Throw it away and quit wasting your time with it, IMO. The fender appears to be formed wrong from what I can see, have a pic of the whole fender?

Had the same problem. Drill out the welds and reposition the brace at the rear of the fender. There's another thread about three pages back titled fender replacement, same deal.

Re: new fender sitting to high
I agree, A/M is not as good but better than one that's beat up or rusty.
It's the same problem I had. Take it off and compare the position of the brace at the rear of the fender to the old one. About 6 or 8 spot welds hold the brace on. Drill them out and reposition it. Weld the holes back up and you're done. It's not that hard of a fix and doesn't look terrible when you're done. If you don't have a welder then it may be a problem.

Re: new fender sitting to high
Still should be able to compare the two at the rear. As far as height goes anyway. I believe I used a small pair of vice grips to hold them together on the car to get it where I wanted it before welding it back together.

Re: new fender sitting to high
They may not be exact but they will work. If they were exact I'm sure they'd be some copyright infringement issues.

Re: new fender sitting to high
If you haven't done it already, you may want to drill out the welds on the new fender. Then grind the old fender off of the old brace. This way you have a good piece in the brace to weld to. I have a spot weld cutter that doesn't cut all the way like a normal drill bit, makes it much easier.
