Window Motor - explanation?
Apparently my window motor stuttered and refused to work sometimes, only with a bit of help it worked. When I finally took it apart, I messed around by poking it with a screw driver, and it started working consistently.
Then I noticed it worked only when this thick wrapping of wires was right on top of it. I then zip-tied it and now it works flawlessly.
I dont get it...
Explanation?

Re: Window Motor - explanation?
Easy
Check for 12 volts +/- on the wires going to the motor when you push the switch up/down. If the voltage is always there, there is a problem with either:
A) connection between the wires and the motor itself ( probably grease/sludge in there)
B) motor itself
If voltage is NOT consistent or there, you probably need new switches. This was my problem. Classic Industries has them now and they are inexpensive
Let me know if you have any other questions
