84 camaro side skirts. On the rear of the skirt there are two plastic disc that hold the skirt to the body. Does anybody know what they are called or what the part number may be? I can't find these things anywhere online.

 

No idea what they are called, but autozone carries them. I think it says plastic GM fasteners on the box.

 

Autozone was the first place I checked. Didn't have them. I also tried a company called Aveco with no help. Maybe I will try to post a picture of them to show everyone what i'm talking about.

 

i'm able to get the mfrom a local shop in ct. usually they have them in stock or they are able to get them.

 

How do those discs hold them to body. I have to put mine back together and I don't see how they work

I believe they just slide on to the little metal tabs that stick out of the body. I haven't taken a pic yet.

 

So are they supposed to be attached to the ground efx , then attach to car . Because when I took my ground efx off they were attached to car and I saw no way of attaching them to ground efx

No, that is neither the bracket or disc.The bracket is a flat metal piece in the shape of a U.Its actually two brackets though, one for each disc.

 

You wouldn't happen to know what it is called, or what years had those brackets. I looked at and 86 z 28 today and it was different

 

No idea, but they are the early style, 82-84 maybe.GM switched to a bolt on style similar to the gfx on the front fender/bumper.Those brackets have bolts that go thru the qtr panel & the nuts are behind the plastics next to the Rr seat cushion, bigger hassle in my opinion, but the brackets will mount to the earlier gfx.

This is all i could find.

 

so must be 82 thru 85 then because mines an 85. Well at least this narrows me down to parts cars of those years. Sucks. Have been sitting on a freshly painted car for two weeks, but can't put it back together

yo yo old post but maybe you still have contacts looking for 85 Z28 ground effect plastic disc and clips that mount to studs on body for the long side running from front wheel to rear. these are for the rear
