83 Berlinetta, front clip removal trouble
I have to replace mine or fix it. Either way, it's gotta come off. Not the whole bumper assembly, just the panel (or whatever you call it). I took the bolts off that attach the assembly to the bumper near where the hood latch is already. But underneath the car, near the very front, there are about 6 or 8 rubberized bolts that hold it on. If you view these looking in on the top of them, the threaded bit goes through normally, but there are these rubber bits that kind of loosely pinch it. I am assuming that you need to clench these to the threaded bit so it can go through the bumper and out, but try as I might, I cannot get them to pinch sufficiently enough to create room for the bolt to come out.
I'll put pics up when my camera is charged.

If I am right about what you are talking about they are plastic push retainers. The head is a flat round plastic looking similar to a big nail head. Take a flat screwdriver and carefully pry up on the head. It may help to use two screwdrivers. Once started I switched to a pair of diagonal cutters and without actually cutting anything closed them some and pried up on the center more. After out about 1/2 - 3/4 inch I used a screwdriver under the outside edge and pried the whole retainer out or a pair of pliers carefully on the center head to pull the retainer out. Some of these will break off and need to be replaced. If they break off just pry them out in any way possible or even drill them out.
