Need resto help on T join on roof
Hi the metal piece between my t roofs is in need of resto, i want to remove it but i am not completly sure how as there is so much rust in areas i do not know if there are screws missing or if it comes of in one big part or in pieces ?
are their any write ups on this ?

They are formed in to one piece from a couple of parts. I have always removed it as one part.
There is probably something on here... There are screws and sealant on the two I removed.
If you are lucky it is just the T-bar that is rusty but usually the body has some rust under it. These things usually rust together and it helps to be patient with a wide putty knife and try to get it a part with a minimum of damage.
That said, really you are probably looking at;
new weather strip
new T bar
body rust repair and paint of the area under it.
and all the surprises that come with this type of repair and hey if it was easy everyone could do it and they would not sell so many new cars!
