2.5 in. Daytona IROC hood, will it be tall enough?

I was looking around on summit and found the Harwood 2.5 in. Daytona IROC-style bolt on fiberglass hood. I kind of like it.
Its pricey and the whole point is for it to fit my application with out chopping into it.
I set my air gap on the engine one day about a year ago when fixing oil leaks (intake manifold and valve covers) and there was not enough room to set the carb on the intake manifold and close the hood.
It looked nice mocked up, no way the hood would go down with out a saws all.
Does any one know if a 2.5'' hood can clear a RPM air gap intake and edelbrock carb with air filter?

Air Gap RPM will fit under a stock hood with a 2" filter and Edelbrock carb. I have the Performer RPM, which is the same identical height as the Air Gap RPM. No need for a hood at all!

Note I stated 2 inch filter - I'm assuming open element here. Might not clear a 3" - depends on how much drop there is in the 'drop base' cleaner housing. But I run a 2" filter in an open element 9inch housing, and have no clearance issues - you can just barely see a very light indention in the hood insulation.

BTW, I run a 9inch rather than a 14 because the 14 wanted to rub the plug wires at the distributor.
