new mirrors out there? aftermarket?
I've searched the local junkyards and can't seem to find a replacemnt for my electric mirrors.. the mirror its self not the assembly. Is there a vendor that sells them new? Or anyone who sells aftermarkets. I'm not lookin into replacing them with the stick on version.

Camaros, birds, corvettes and caprices...etc all have that style mirror...
are you looking for just the mirror glass/plastic?

I do also know that the back of the glass for the electric mirror is NOT the same as for the manual mirror, so grabbing a set off a manual mirror car will not work either.

Re: new mirrors out there? aftermarket?
Yeah, I've seen the Dormans - I assume they are stick-on as they are the same prices as everyone elses stick-ons. I'm also confused as to how it's going to stick since the OEM's are curved (at least mine are) for the "objects may be closer ...." - so I as well am at a loss other than finding a mint pair on ebay or the local JY.

Re: new mirrors out there? aftermarket?
Never looked that closely before, but ....
Some folks replaced the entire assembly with Vette mirrors - they look alot the same - wonder if they have the same shape glass in them? That would open up a few new places to look (vette parts dealers). Anyone ever compare shape/size?
