got rearended by a drunk driver the same day i swaped a new motor in it. I was on the test drive going around the block and i stopped at the stop sign and he hit me doing 50 and destroied the LR part of the car and pushed me through the entire intersection. I cant find any more pix of the car where it showes the damage.

At least you bought it back for a good price haha. Also that's crazy that car has some type of bad luck to get that to happen again. And also that's why i don't trust doing a ram air intake your car pretty much has one installed underneath just not having the snorkel aimed way down. But those looked really nice.

Re: What's The worst Thing That has happened to one of your cars.
Side swipped at 40mph by some lady that couldn't read road signs, insurance wouldn't cover it because my inspection was out for 20 days. Thank god these things are all metal because I believe any other car would have been scrapped. She hit me right behind the front drivers side wheel well and dragged down to the back of the door, luckily it was all removable parts. I thought I was going to have to crawl out of the window to get out because the hinges took a hard hit, but the door opened just fine. I drove my car home, she wasn't that lucky lol (Nissan Altima).

Re: What's The worst Thing That has happened to one of your cars.
I bought my 91 rs for $800 in october. Took forever to get the title.
About a week or two after new years my buddy calls me. He found out hes getting deployed this summer. I go over to his place across town. with Tags from my Bronco. After a 2 day snow/ice storm. We drink a 12 pack of miller lite and have a couple shots of vodka. Theres no more beer. Its about 11:00 pm. we decide we need more. Wal-marts 10 minutes away. We talk it over decide we can make it. (three of my tires are slick as balloons) The road were on is long and winding no traffic lights or street lights. I'm going about 45-55mph. I hit a big patch of ice and slide into a wooden utility pole. My buddy says lets see how the car looks. I tell him no way. We pull away from it and in the rear view mirror the pole is leaning bad. we get to wal-mart and look at it. by some miracle the passenger door is the only thing damaged. Fender and rear quarter panel are still fine. didnt dare to see if the window would roll down. We got the beer and made it back safely! I've got it registered now and am still waiting on the title!

Re: What's The worst Thing That has happened to one of your cars.
lets see,
rammed a tree once. the tree didn't survive . oh well, that should teach him for dangerous crossing
front bumper was ripped and a broken passenger side sidemarker.
then last year, my car tried to take a shortcut, but after swinging around 270 degrees, the back landed in the side, it a little pole ( where the spare wheel is ) and rolled further downhill ( 2 meters lower )
I needed to take the bump back out of the car.
Cost to state: 1 pole with a sign of 0.1km on it. BUT.
I told the cops that maybe I could still fix the sign. and since I had my tools with me. I put the pole back into the ground, put the sign back on it.
took some force to make the sign straight again.
cops helped me to put the pole back into the ground.
since I saved the pole I didnt have to pay for that either.
this year, some guy on a parking lot T-boned me, my car is now waiting in my garage for a new door.
at the same time i'm redoing my t-roof again, since I still get water in my car and I dont know where its comming from.
while its in the garage, also fixing up some rustholes and other stuff.

Re: What's The worst Thing That has happened to one of your cars.
Went for dinner and drinks after a softball game with co-workers, I was parked next to a lifted club-cab pickup (both of us backed in). While in the restaurant (seated outdoors), I heard this crunch, then my car alarm goes off. The driver of the pickup forgot how long he was and turned too early to exit the parking spot. He scraped the driver side fender with his nerf bar, then his rear tire took the center cap off my front wheel and wrinkled the radius of my fender. To top it all off, he was uninsured, fortunately, I carry UIM on my policy.
Damage was about $1500 of which I paid a reimbursable $100 deductible.
I had worse with my previous ride (1983 Olds Cutlass Supreme) while still in the Navy. I was parked near a corner (which was legal until this mishap) when a tractor-trailer made a wrong tun to his delivery spot. He turned right and couldn't get his trailer around the corner, rolling its front tire over my driver side fender. The driver tried to deny he was in the area, but there were witnesses and photographic evidence of his trailer proved otherwise. The header of that subpoena was awesome "United States vs ****" (I've forgotten his name by now and wouldn't post it anyhow). Believe it or not, the Olds wasn't much worse off than my Camaro.

Actually, those pictures were taken a little more than 3 years ago. Fixed long before you saw the car for the first time

Re: What's The worst Thing That has happened to one of your cars.
Well I am in high school and got my 89 camaro convertible iroc as a present. It had no rust and a relitively newer paint job. The motor was redone with an 89 corvette 350 with the 700r4 transmission. Awesome car even tho I had to redo the interior and some other little bit. The car would not beable to cool the fans were nod working right. Thus making it overheat. One day I was away and my brother took it out of the garage and had it Idling for 15 to 20 mintues enough to scorch my cylinders burn a couple of valves and just totally screwed my engine up. But it would still run but like total crap. I did manage to get the car inspected but it failed and had the worst problems starting and would not start when it was warm. Now I'm getting the motor redone and I'm driving a 04 impala now. Can't wait to get it it back.

the worst thing that happened to my camaros was when I was in school, my ex, long story short the damage was, she took a screwdriver up and down the driver side, slashed all 4 tires, and put a brick through the hatch, it was devistating, very, very, devistating

Oh ya had that one happen to me, busted windshield too. Next day busted another hatch installing it then 3 months later some kid threw a rock through that one. I've had all the carpet out and cleaned everywhere and there's STILL broken glass in there

Re: What's The worst Thing That has happened to one of your cars.
Well i guess it would help to give a lil back story, well back in dec 07 my parents went through a nasty bankrupcy and at the time i was 18 at the time still living at home anyways well we basically lost everything, parents lost both of there cars and well they ended up taking mine a 03 hemi ram for my dad and my mom took my 02 gtp 40th ann. and my baby had to be sold as well which was a fully restored 72 cuda with a 440 Big block, anyways i know i sound like a rich kid and well life was good but we were well off anyways. well after it was all said and done i was actually making more then both of my parents combine, workin my but off as a polisher and well i ended up living with my parents for a while so it could be easier on all of us. well after almost 3 years i was finally able to get a nice lil toy for myself which i got in nov. i got a 87 Iroc which is an original L98 car with the original drivetrain completly rebuilt and mildly built at that, plus on top of that it only had 68k miles on it!!! well about a month later a week or so before christmas my ex and i decided we would try and get back together and see if we could work things out. well lets just say that her ex at the time didnt exactly like that idea so he and some friend came over at 12:30 christmas morning and decided my car could use some realistic flames added to it! well long story short they tried to light my car on fire thru the gas tank and lucky it thanks to my firefighter neighbor who just happened to get home at the right time, called the police and put out the fire before it really could do to much damage. luckily also the JACK*** was caught actully in my neighborhood with the gas can still in his vehicle, so he got to spend xmas in a nice cozy cell and the weekend as well, HAAAA!!!! so anyways he ended up doin around 1500 in damage to my quarter panel.

last winter the canopy I stored my iroc under for 10 years caved in and put a dent in each front fender and pushed the roof line in behind the t-top.Luckily did not break the glass. Each time it snowed before I would go out and knock it off, forgot and the weight was too much.Drove it for years without even a ding.I think it hurts worst knowing it happen in my driveway and could have been avoided.
