installing a z28 wing on an rs - HELP
Hi ive got a stupid question for you guys and im hoping someone can help me out. I bought a used z28 rear spoiler/wing off craigslist and now I want to put it on my rs. The problem is the two inner mounting post of the wing are about an inch shorter than the outer ones. I havnt removed my stock spoiler but how it looks now this spoiler will not fit because there will be a gap between the trunk lid and the two inner mounting post. Am i missing something?

You need to get a rear deck from a non spoiler car and drill the holes to match.

I'm doing the same thing just in about 2'weeks now my question is what would be the best thing to use to fill the holes in on the sides of the car from the side piece of the stock spoiler?

no no no it will fit, im in the process of doing mine right now, once you pull the old spoiler fill in all the holes, id say weld them in because i havent had much luck with the bondo (went thru LA and they all cracked) then take the spoiler and line it up, the center will sit up a bit but it flexes into place, do it very slowly and make sure not to crack it, i bought a used one and ive just been repairing it, it had a crack from the left center post all the way up the top, i just put it on the car and used sand bags to put it in place, chipped out some of the crack to make it larger then used dura glass (like fiber bondo) and filled it in, mine was warped so it sat like 2 inches up too high in the center and i just left the bags on it for a few days to level it out again, the PO of the spoiler had it sitting upside down across 2 saw horses in the az heat so it bowed up, just take the old one off and put it in place, post a pic of the gap if its too big maybe we can get this thing to work for you
