Aftermarket fenders dont fit?
i bought an aftermarket fender for my 89 convertible camaro and the bottom on it does not fit with the ground fx. The bottom of the fender curves on and on the gm fender it goes straight down. anyone else have this problem?

there might be a difference in GFX equipped cars and non GFX... either way you should email customer service, regardless of whether someone responds to your post...

Don't believe it's GFX. Probably difference in convertible body design for support maybe?

Convertible fenders are cut shorter to accomodate the bracing for the vert. You will have to cut it to make it work. Personally I would look for a GM fender before I waste the money on an aftermarket one.

Re: Aftermarket fenders dont fit?
u can just cut and weld the bracket from the old fender to the new one that u already have. I had to do that with my 91 Vert years ago. they were modified to fit around the frame brace they added to the convertibles.

Re: Aftermarket fenders dont fit?
i would look for a actual part from another 'vert to be safe. if you have the same problem, then do some body work, although it is strange for the fender you got to be different, it does say that it uses factory specs.
