Nasty dent needs to survive Quebec winter !
Hey all,
A while ago I bought a 91 Formula that sat in a yard for 3 years, cleaned the grime off ( took over 2 hours.. ) and found some pretty nasty dents that go down to the bare metal and I need to get those couple of dents to survive winter so they don't start growing rust on me. What should I do ? It already started snowing up here and we've had 2 straight days of solid rain / ice storms so I'll need to act quickly.
What can I do ? throw some oil / grease on them ? ( what kind, brand, how do I do it, will it survive snowstorms / ice storms ? ) or try to paint it up ? ( it's not the original color, but a white without traces of blue if I recall from the PO when I used to hang around with him )
Any help greatly appreciated.

if you plan on redoing the car, throw some clear coat on there, a couple of caots so its nice a protective, grease and oils will eventually wear off quicker and cause it to rust if its the wrong kind

Vaseline works great on chrome bumpers so it should work on your dents

If you are looking for something cheap and quick get some rustoleum and throw it on there.

Vaseline sounds like my type of plan, I like that idea.

Well because I don't know the particular paint number, since the paint is not the original GM white but rather a toyota white.
Immediately after I read the post about the vaseline trick we were hit by an ice storm so I'll have to wait till it gets warmer to apply it, there's about half an inch of ice on the bird atm =/

I like using rustoleum's rusty metal primer to protect metal
doesn't have to be rusty
it works great of protecting bare metal from snow and water.
can get it about anywhere even walmart
