Re: Aftermarket front fenders

I used one on my car. Didn't fit well at first. Had to drill out brace inside rear of fender and reposition and reweld. Metal is thinner, overall quality is not as good as OEM. 300 verses 45 dollars.

There are many companies making these aftermarket fenders, some are better than others.

Re: Aftermarket front fenders

FWIW I put a certi-fit one on my wifes GTA. After I modified it to fit and braced it, it is ok The door radius edge is still off but it was like $66.

On mine 86, I picked up some used ones for $20 and they will prob take as long to fix them as It did to make the sort-a- fit fit.

They are GM and they fit real nice!

I agree, I'd go GM if possible before AM. I don't replace fenders on many third gens so not sure of better AM ones. If you have to use AM maybe buy it local so you could try a couple of them.
