TPI Emblem Position Help
1989 IROC.... getting ready to re-install emblems after paint job, the "Tuned Port Injection" emblem on the rear bumper cover was broken off, so I did not get the chance to measure it for proper position. Can anyone tell me how far it is from the edge of the recess to the edge of this emblem....much appreciated

Re: TPI Emblem Position Help
Its one of those things... it goes... There!, right there, pick a spot it looks about right and stick it.
Unfortunately there is no official location for any of the decals or emblems that there was not a pocket or an indentation, or holes drilled for said decal. They vary widely from the factory. There are certain general locations, but nothing that screams it goes exactly here...
Sorry...
John

Re: TPI Emblem Position Help
I just did the same thing, there is a thread on here called "post your best rear picture" or something like that. It appears that the first letter is in line with the first or second grid (i don't rember which one) of the drivers side tail light.

Gentlemen....thanks for your replies. I kind of figured that there was no "exact" location, just looking for a ballpark figure before I pull the sticky paper. Now excuse
me while I gaze at some "rears" in the thread you mentioned
Thanks Again

Re: TPI Emblem Position Help
Hi all, it’s been a while since I been on here, a lot has happened with my restoration, since I started removing everything down to a shell in April of 2010, finally the car is painted and I’m installing all the new GM nos parts I collected in 12 years. Not sure how to send pictures but I will try. I saw a post on location of rear 5.7 TPI emblem, but the measurements were for a 92, does anyone have a original 87 5.7 and can measure for me. Thanks Michae
