Primer and Gun recommendations?
I recently had a local auto body shop give me an estimate on some repairs on my car and the owner of the shop suggest that I get a new gun and 2k Urethane primer. Does anyone know or suggest a good urethane primer and/or gun type to use? Thanks a bunch.

Re: Primer and Gun recommendations?
Practice is probably the most important thing. You need a large air compressor for automotive painting. As far as paint goes, you may want to shop around at local suppliers and see what they use. You can either buy a dedicated gun for primer and another for color, or buy one with different size nozzles for high build primer, color, and clear coat. Hopefully some others chime in, but the Autobodystore forums are also a great resource if you want to learn more about painting and body work.

Re: Primer and Gun recommendations?
Here is what I used:
DuPont URO 1107S Primer
with:
ChromaClear 7985S Mid Temp Activator
ChromaPremier 12375 Mid Temp Reducer
As for a spray gun, I use a Sharpe Finex.
