Where can I get new/cheap weatherstripping?

My weather stripping was BEAT so I had to remove it around the doors by the glass. I'm interested in getting a new piece for the windshield as well.

Everywhere I look is ridiculous with the prices.

'87 IROC, hard top.

Summit has a lot of it pretty cheap.

http://www.summitracing.com/search/Year/1988/Make/PONTIAC/Model/FIREBIRD/Part-Type/Weatherstrip-Seals-Individual/?Ns=Rank|Asc

or the kits

http://www.summitracing.com/search/Year/1988/Make/PONTIAC/Model/FIREBIRD/Part-Type/Weatherstrip-Seals-Vehicle-Kits/?Ns=Rank|Asc

The hardtop kit is 50$ cheaper than hawks.

Year one, your local GM dealer (AC Delco stuff is the best), or eBay.

Don't mean to thread steal but where can you get those exterior window strips that guide your window and keep the water out from getting into your doors?

Mine are from a fourth gen and i love them. There a little longer so you have to cut a little off both ends

What company makes them with the plastic stiffeners in the ends that screw to the doors? I have used the ones without and they just don't fit right...

I got mine from 1Aauto but you also need to change the roof rail weatherstripping to create a tight seal and push the window up against the window sweeps. I learned that the factory window sweeps like to sag against the window and the new ones had a HUGE gap between them and the window...but when I installed the new roofrails...they closed that gap and created and tight seal for the window sweeps as well. Happy I went with 1AAuto...

Hey Tony, glad you could join the thread. I like the 1A prices and the quality seems good. I'll give you a call when I'm ready to buy. I'd like to piece together all the correct weather stripping that I'm looking for.

Re: Where can I get new/cheap weatherstripping?

how are your aftermarket weatherstriping kits? how do they compare to GM? Ive heard aftermarket kits dont really fit as well as gm does, I dont know how true that is.

Re: Where can I get new/cheap weatherstripping?

I got my full hardtop kit from summit. I paid 200 shipped for the whole setup.

That included both doors, windows and the trunk seal. Fit was awesome and no more leaks!

I believe the kit was made by SuperSoft.

We do offer both GM (on some stuff) , Metro and Soffseal are pretty much what we carry.

We have sold quite a few kits to members out.
