New Hood fitment issues
Hey everyone,
I just purchased a Goodmark 3in Cowl hood and when I installed it on my car I have some fitment issues.
The passenger side the line between the hood and the fender is really open while the driver side the lines are so tight they're rubbing.
Also on the front bumper the driver side bumper sits lower then the passenger side of the bumper making their be a very noticable gap (i can stick my hand flat inside) between the hood and the bumper.
I have adjusted the hood latch to sit further down but this did not help.
What can I do to fix this problem?
The rubbing on the driver side has peeled some paint that I will have to fix now.
I have included some pics.
Thanks!

Re: New Hood fitment issues
Is that the hood that was on sale here a bit ago? Looks like it. As for Fender vs Hood issues, Play around with the hood hinges for the fit, if that does not work adjust the fenders themselfs.
As for the front side being more up than the other, You play around with the stoppers? If that is not it I would think it would be on the hinges again but this time where the hinges bolt on to the actual hood itself.
Its tricky to get everything right but its doable.

Re: New Hood fitment issues
I'm not sure if it was on sale here as I found it on craigslist.
The hood itself is straight but when on the car you can see the middle of the hood does not line up with the middle of the front bumper which is why the passenger side has such a gap and the driver side is so tight. I did try messing with the hood brackets by sliding them to the best angle to move the hood towards the center but they are at the farthest point they will go right now.
How do I adjust the fenders?
Also I tried to loosen the driver side 4 bolts for the front bumper and push them as far up to close the hood to bumper gap but it didn't help. I'll wrench on it some more after work today but if anyones got an idea please let me know.
Again how do I adjust the fenders? I guess I would have to move the passeneger side closer to the hood and the driver side further away to close the gap and open the gap but this wouldn't fix the fact the hood doesn't line up with the front bumper. Any ideas there?
Thanks!

Re: New Hood fitment issues
Alright I found what was going on.
There are four adjustment screws, two on each side of the hood where it meets the hinges that allow you to control the angle of the hood in realtion to the body. After that a quick adjustment of the latch metal hook and the hood seals perfect and only spot I have to work on now is the small gap between the front bumpers driver side and the hood. But it is much smaller than it was.
Thanks for the help guys!
