Re: Tuned Firebird

Hey, thats pretty cool! I'm also pleasantly surprised a female is genuinely interested in working on cars, and in Finland! I know it sucks in the winter, specially with no sun (my friend lives in Finland[Jyväskylä, Keski] too). This is a great board, if you have any questions, let us know, we'll definitely help you out!

PS. I love that hood, I have the same one!

Re: Tuned Firebird

Dig the 'vette tailpipes, not so much on the new nose. You look like a girl I used to see.

I wont lie to you though, I don't get why they call this stuff "visual tuning". It's body fabrication, it has nothing at all to do with 'tuning' (i.e. tweaking for performance).

Regardless, you do what you like and it's obvious you're very good at it. Probably better than most of the shops in my neighborhood. Very impressive

Re: Tuned Firebird

I REALLY like that rear bumper set up...

Do you have any more detailed pictures of that finished and during the work?

The rest of the car looks great. Not sure on the front bumper, Ide like to see how you finish it. That green with all the flake thats in it looks pretty awesome!

Good work!

WOW that's amazing you did that...usually when you hear "bodykit on an fbody" you expect it to be fail, but that looks wicked. And did you do that paintjob yourself?

They did stop making them in 2002. The Trans AM pictured was actually built in 2003 along with a heritage racing Camaro...-->CLICK HERE<--.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product for this front bumper.

Re: Tuned Firebird

I don't like the look of the bumper cover but i truely respect the work you did! I personally would like it to have the openings wider and not as tall but still have the ridge in the middle... pretty much like the look of a 1976 Trans Am or the 4th gen concept shown above.

Anyway, great work! Did you create a mold from the foam and then use that to make the fiberglass bumper, or did you make the foam a little smaller than the bumper needs to be and actually create the fiberglass bumper right over the foam form?

The message after the measuring screen is...
" Mittaamme internetyhteytesi nopeuden, ole hyvä ja odota.
Nykyisellä yhteydelläsi voit katsoa videolähetystä, jonka kaistanleveys on 750 kbit/s. Se antaa sinulle hyvän kuvanlaadun..
Nettiyhteytesi nopeus on nyt noin 2500 kbit/s."

and the two buttons are "testaa" or "Jatka"

I got the same message as HCR. Car is pretty nice though, love the color/wheels/stance. I think our cars need a spoiler, and I'm not a fan of that front bumper, but I applaud the amount of work you put into it. Great job!!!

Very clean car! I really like the body kit, the original front bumper kind of reminds me of the Gen III Supra. And the paint really suits it well

Re: Tuned Firebird

Very nice craftsmanship on the entire car!

However, the new nose doesn't look as tasteful as the first nose you made, in my opinion.

I think the new nose would look much better if you were to slope the nose forward and downward a little more and make the two grill openings smaller.

Good job and congrats on the show / interview!
