Can this ground effect be saved? Pics...

Picked this ground effect up from another member on here, the ground effect is in good shape other than these 2 one inch cuts on each side.

The previous owner drilled some holes on each side of the cut also. Can this be fixed with results that will look like new once painted?

Sure! Perfectly fixable.

I've seen 2 front bumpers cut in half (1 was bad on the left, the other bad on the right) & the good halfs put together to create 1 good one.

what method of molding do you use to fix this? i read something about drilling holes on both sides of the cuts then using a bondo style material to cover it, the holes are meant to hold it in place in the furture or something i dunno

any info would be cool i have a set of aero's i wanna put on my car but theres a small crack on it

from my understanding the reason you drill on both sides of the crack is to stop the crack from cracking anymore but to fix it I think there is this stuff 3m makes and I believe more information is in a sticky under this forum

Drill at both ENDS is a better description than at the 'sides'. The curve of the drilled hole is why the crack stops growing.

It is fixable and there are some posts on here about doing it if you search. Check out this one.

Bumpers are polyurethane plastic. You need to use a flexible two part plastic epoxy to fill in crack. Evercoat makes maxim repair urethane. 3m also makes a good one. Most autobody store sell small bumper repair kits with epoxy and structural panels. Structural panel is needed on bumper backside. As mentioned, good idea to dremel out cracks a bit for filler and then drill a hole at end of crack. Some people say to drill holes along crack on either side and fill with epoxy. No need for this, doesn't do anything.
